Technological Innovation for ever more advanced, efficient, and sustainable manufacturing processes

Innovazione tecnologica

Gruppo Rima continues to invest in increasing production capacity, reducing environmental impact, and accelerating digital transformation with the aim of taking advantage of the incentives related to the Transition 5.0 Plan, an incentive scheme introduced by the Italian government to support businesses. This strategy is a natural continuation of the significant investments the company has consistently made over the years. Rima’s focus on advanced production technologies, sustainability, and employee well-being has deep roots in its history.

The investment plan focuses on three main areas where specific interventions are being developed: production capacity, environmental impact, and digital transformation.

Production Capacity. In response to the significant growth trend observed in recent years, the company has decided to invest in the installation of new production facilities at its Italian headquarters in Montichiari, as well as at its Romanian production site, Sirca Sa. These investments aim to expand the production of hydraulic cylinders, parking jacks, and slewing rings. This is part of a broader smart manufacturing plan initiated in 2017, which includes a series of initiatives focused on digital interconnection of machinery, energy savings, and the integration of innovative solutions to support logistics.

Digital Transformation. The second area of intervention aims to further enhance the company’s ability to compete in the global market through Digital Transformation initiatives. These initiatives are designed to speed up the execution of core business activities, monitor and optimise energy consumption, and increase cybersecurity.

Sustainability. A key concern for the company is the environmental and social impact of its activities. For this reason, a significant portion of the investments planned for 2024-2025 will be dedicated to ESG projects. The company has recently completed the expansion and renovation of its executive offices, equipping them with thermal and acoustic insulation, as well as heating and cooling systems powered by state-of-the-art heat pumps, which are supplied by photovoltaic panels that cover around 50% of the company’s energy needs.

In addition, work has recently begun on the preparation of the sustainability report and the process to obtain gender equality certification UNI/PdR 125.
